Travel services

If you are going away on holiday, you may need travel advice, immunisations and antimalarials. It better to check sooner rather than later, as often courses of immunisations can take several months. Travel vaccinations and advice are a non-NHS service. Please complete an e-Consult online and the nurses will contact you.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office provides excellent official information about destinations, health, visas etc.

Masta provides lots of details about vaccination requirements and some travel information.

Certain vaccines are available free of charge and can be given by our nurses. For other vaccines we suggest you contact a travel clinic. The nearest travel clinic is The Travel Health Consultancy in Southernhay.

 

Fear of Flying

ISCA Medical Practice does NOT prescribe sedatives (ie Diazepam or Zopiclone) for fear of flying. This policy decision has been made by the GP Partners and is adhered to by all prescribers working in the practice.
