Diabetes
The nurses monitor diabetic patients regularly and help to get the best treatment. There are Regular clinic meetings with Marie Dougal, who is the diabetic link nurse from the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, where more complex cases are discussed. Dr Shellock is the lead doctor for diabetes.

Respiratory problems (including asthma & COPD)
All of our nurses are able to perform spirometry and monitoring of respiratory (breathing) problems such as asthma and COPD.
Dr Weeden has a specialist interest in respiratory medicine.
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a very common disease, which can easily be managed with lifestyle changes and/or medication.
Our doctors and nurses regularly monitor patients blood pressures and optimise medication to prevent complications of high blood pressure, such as strokes and heart attacks.
If you are worried about your blood pressure please book in with the nurse, or HCA to have it checked.
Mental wellbeing (including depression, mental health & dementia)
All the doctors are very experienced in dealing with mental wellbeing, depression and dementia.
Patients are able to directly refer themselves for talking therapies through the Depression & Anxiety Service.
