Mental Health Awareness Week

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and in line with this year’s theme of “kindness”, PHE will be encouraging people to be kind to themselves by taking action to get a good sleep. We know that sleep has become a concern for lots of people in recent weeks.

On Friday 22 May PHE will release brand new content, including new data detailing the impact the current situation has had on the nation’s sleep and advice from subject experts. Our toolkit is being finalised and resources will follow in the next couple of days so please check the Campaign Resource Centre.

We expect to provide:

  • New radio ad – you can use this for local radio campaigns should you wish. PHE have a 2 week radio campaign. This has been bought against selected audiences: young women (18-24), single parents of younger children (0-14 year old children), Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) audiences and adults from lower social and economic groups in England. The advert is also running on digital audio platforms – DAX, Spotify and Acast, targeting the same audiences as above.
  • PR pack – including long and short copy, social media copy, FAQs, and press release, embargoed until 00:01hrs Friday 22 May 2020.
  • New social assets on sleep – also embargoed until 00:01hrs Friday 22 May 2020.
